WHAT IS THE BEST PART OF THE JOB?

Getting to meet new people from all over, and then getting to share an amazing whitewater experience with them!

WHY DO YOU THINK PEOPLE SHOULD GO ON A RAFTING TRIP?

Rafting is so much fun! It changed my life. Rafting is such a great way to hang out in nature with your friends, try new experiences, and make memories that will last a lifetime.

WHAT IS A FUN FACT ABOUT YOU?

I have guided the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon twice!

WHY WOULD I WANT YOU AS A GUIDE?

We will have more fun than any of the other rafts on the river! Plus, I have been rafting in Tennessee, North Carolina, West Virginia, Colorado, Utah, Arizona, and Idaho and will bring that experience to make sure that we have the best trip possible.

HOW LONG AND WHY/HOW DID YOU START WORKING AT OCOEE INN RAFTING?

I have worked at Ocoee Inn Rafting for 20 years. I was looking for a summer job during college, and the rest is history.

OTHERWISE KNOWN AS/NICNAME.

What are some crazy/adventurous things you’ve done?

I love to travel the world. I have visited several foreign countries, including adventures backpacking around Europe and teaching at a middle school in West Africa.

What do you love about Ocoee Inn Rafting?

Ocoee Inn is family. I’d love for you to come join us and be family!

What makes you unique as a guide and why would I request you?

Most fun on the river. Guaranteed. *

Do you have anything to tell first-time rafters?

Come on! You’ll love it! Be ready to laugh and get wet!

Where did you grow up? If not locally, what brought you here?

I grew up in Lebanon, Ohio. I came to Tennessee for college (Lee University), and I stayed in Tennessee because of the Ocoee River.

What does your off season look like?

I’m a high school math teacher.

What are your hobbies?

Does going out to eat at Mexican restaurants count as a hobby?
