Meeting new adventurous people and being outside.
WHY DO YOU THINK PEOPLE SHOULD GO ON A RAFTING TRIP?
It is one of the few places where you don’t get cell phone service. People are able to connect with family and friends within the amazing scenery.
WHAT IS A FUN FACT ABOUT YOU?
I once lived in a tent for 3 months in Africa.
WHY WOULD I WANT YOU AS A GUIDE?
17 yrs of experience and not just on the Ocoee.
HOW LONG AND WHY/HOW DID YOU START WORKING AT OCOEE INN RAFTING?
Started working at the Ocoee Inn Rafting in 2005, and I had some friends that wanted me to be a part of the crew.
OTHERWISE KNOWN AS/NICKNAME.
Most people just call me Godbee.
HOW DID YOU GET YOUR NICKNAME?
It’s my last name. 🙂
WHAT ARE SOME CRAZY/ADVENTUROUS THINGS YOU’VE DONE?
Backpacked in Europe, road tripped the United States, climbed in South Africa, rafted through the Grand Canyon.
WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT OCOEE INN RAFTING?
The staff are some of my best friends, and my amazing wife works there.
WHAT MAKES YOU UNIQUE AS A GUIDE AND WHY WOULD I REQUEST YOU?
I am probably the most easy going guide there, and I work at the fire department so safety is a priority.
DO YOU HAVE ANYTHING TO TELL FIRST-TIME RAFTERS?
Don’t forget to look around and see the mountain views.

I grew up in Augusta, GA. I moved to attend Lee University where I studied theology.
WHAT DOES YOUR OFF SEASON LOOK LIKE?
Full time firefighter with the Cleveland Fire Department.
WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES?
Running and reading.
WHAT/WHO INSPIRES YOU?
My parents who shaped into the person I am now.
