
WHAT TO BRING
A guide for what you should bring to enjoy your Ocoee River rafting experience!
Summer Wear:
- Bathing suits
- Shorts
- T-shirts
- Waterproof sunscreen
- Tennis Shoes
Spring & Fall Wear:
- Windbreakers
- Wool Sweaters
- Wool Pants
- Optional: Wool stocking cap and socks
- Tennis shoes
Ladies you will want to wear shorts over your swimsuit. River shoes such as Teva or Keen are optional but no open top sandals are allowed. Please avoid flip-flops and Crocs. If you have an old pair of tennis shoes even better as they will get wet. Baseball caps are optional for keeping the sun out of your eyes. If you wear prescription glasses, be sure to attach them with Chum’s or Croakies. Quick drying fabrics are recommended over cotton which retains water. In cool weather poly and synthetic fabrics are useful as a substitute for wool. If it is cool out we provide complimentary spray jackets and spray pants to wear over your clothes.
What to avoid:
- Flip flops
- Jeans / denim pants
- In cooler weather: Cotton fabrics
We provide:
- A guide and all necessary equipment including paddles, helmets and life vests
- Complimentary spray pants and spray jackets in cool weather
- Transportation to and from the river
- Changing rooms and hot showers
Other items to bring:
- Waterproof sunscreen
- A dry change of clothes for after the trip – you will get wet!
- A dry pair of shoes
- Towels and shower items
- Extra spending money if you are interested in T-Shirts or trip photos
